Molnár-Institute for applied chromatography

Founded in 1981, the Institute for applied chromatography today presents 28 years know-how of high performance liquid chromatography.

Based in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, we support companies all over the world continuously with the successful designing and shaping of HPLC method conditions. By offering software solutions, courses and development services, the Molnár-Institute defines its mission in applying modern software tools such as DryLab and PeakMatch to increase efficiency in HPLC-laboratories and reduce trial&error a great deal. The Molnár-Institute finds its small but essential role in the improvement of worldwide healthcare, ensuring safe products in pharmaceutical, life science- and food industries and supporting research and development in universities.

With engineering software solutions such as DryLab and PeakMatch, the Institute offers a modern approach to HPLC methods modelling. These solutions help chromatographers to comprehend what really happens when developing, shaping and experimenting HPLC methods. They organize and precisely predict how and by which factors HPLC methods and separation selectivity are influenced.

The offered courses conciliate detailed knowledge about the basics of HPLC. The aim is to apply a general understanding of HPLC mechanisms  and to show ways of approaching to robust and reliable methods.

For over 25 years the Molnár-Institute looks for ways to solve evolving problems in the life science industry of using HPLC. To improve our service competences we are always interested in your questions and applications. We are looking forward to hearing from you and gladly offer our experience whenever necessary.

The animation shows, how the change of the pH of eluent A in the range of 2.9 to 4.1 can produce selectivity changes of acidic and basic compounds. Acids (black) move with increasing pH to lower, basic compounds (red) to higher retention times. The last peak is a neutral compound.
